3rd Grade Language Arts Teacher

Who was your favorite teacher? ​
Mr. Layne, my 5th grade teacher, who read aloud to us every day and that’s how I fell in love with reading.

What did Prescott students do that made you proud last year? ​We worked really hard on showing kindness to one another and I was very proud to see kids consistently raising each other up and cheering each other on.

What are your hopes and dreams for your students?
To build their love of reading and writing and to treat each other with kindness and respect.

What do you hope to accomplish as an educator? ​
To ensure a safe and engaging learning environment for all students and to continue to collaborate with staff to make our lessons the best they can be and reach learners of all levels..

For my students this year, I promise…​to have fun, to listen, and to push you to be the best students you can be. I promise to share my passion for reading and writing and build a community of learners.

Who was your favorite teacher? ​Ms. Sager… she always pushed me to go above and beyond in my learning

What did Prescott students do that made you proud last year? ​I was most proud of how curious students became about the world around them. They learned how to ask questions and seek answers.

What are your hopes and dreams for your students? ​
This year, I hope that my students are excited to come to school each day. I hope that they push themselves out of their comfort zone when things get tough. I hope that they become curious scientists that question the world around them all the time. I hope that they learn how to set lofty goals and push to reach them.

What do you hope to accomplish as an educator? ​
This year, I hope to meet the needs of all of my students in academic and social emotional areas. I want to differentiate my instruction to push everyone to be as successful as they can, playing to their strengths as students. I hope to get know to my students very well so I can understand what they need to help them reach their goals
