Drop Off/Pick Up
- What is Kiss N Go?
8:30-8:45am Kiss N Go is only available for morning drop off. Kiss N Go allows for parents to drive their child to school and drop them off without having to park and get out of the car. Kiss N Go should only be utilized by parents whose children know where to go to find their designated line up spot. Kiss N Go is parent run and there are not enough volunteers for parents to walk children from the car to their line up spot outside. Instead volunteers ensure that children get to the gate safely and/or inside safely, if there is inclement weather. More information about Kiss N Go, how to access, and do’s/don’ts are available here.
- Where do I drop my child off?
Drop off is outside in the parking lot/playground area for all children. Children learn where their line up area is for their class on the first day of school. They can play on the playground until the bell rings and then they line up. Teachers and our security guard walk children to their designated area based on who their teacher is until they are comfortable walking to their spot on their own. Parents are not allowed to walk their children to their classroom line. If there is inclement weather, students go right into the school and they have a designated line up spot in the cafeteria.
- How does pick up work?
Classroom numbers are marked on the sidewalks on Wrightwood and Marshfield streets and parents wait for their child at the designated pick up area. Students must give their teacher a high five before leaving.
- Prescott’s uniform policy can be found here. All students must dress in the Prescott uniform polo shirt which can be purchased at http://getshirtsfast.com/prescott.
- UFO (Uniform Free Option) is an option on the second and fourth Friday of every month. You can find more information here.
Before/After School Care
Prescott partners with Right at School for before and after school care. You can find more information here. You can also find more information, including the schedule of electives on the Right at School Website
8:30-8:45am A FREE breakfast will be offered every morning in the cafeteria. Your child will have a choice between a hot or cold breakfast and will eat in the classroom. This is optional for all students.
A FREE lunch is offered daily for all students, the menu can be found here
- Students who choose to bring their own lunch can also opt to add on cafeteria items such as milk, fresh fruit and vegetables as they are offered daily.
Allergies and Medication
Please email case manager Liz Koet via email at firstname.lastname@example.org about your child’s specific health needs prior to the start of the school year. Parent volunteers at Prescott are vital to our success. There are many ways you can get involved. Volunteering inside the school requires Level II verification. Other ways to volunteer and support the school include participating in a Wolfpack. Wolfpacks include hosting and planning social fundraising events, gardening and grounds support, literacy support, and more. You can learn more information about volunteer opportunities here.
