Prescott School designated an Exemplary High Performing Schools National Blue Ribbon School

Congratulations! Prescott Elementary School has been designated an Exemplary High Performing Schools National Blue Ribbon School for 2019 by the U. S. Secretary of Education.  Our school is one of 362 schools in the nation and one of twenty-five schools from Illinois to be recognized in 2019.   

To celebrate with our students and staff, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is coming tomorrow, Friday, September 27 at 3:15 rain or shine.  On the turf field, our Chicago Childrens Choir will perform; and 8th graders will introduce the mayor who will salute their learning success. Students and staff will be seated under a tent in case of rain.

You are invited to attend!  Parents and visitors will be in the parking lot; there will be no vehicles there.  Please know in advance that it will be challenging to view the stage through the media and the seated students.  It will be standing-room only, no seating available for families, and no protection from the elements.  I’m sorry we do not have larger facilities to accommodate everyone.
