Ms. Schwabenbauer – 5th Grade Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher

Hopes & Dreams for . . .

Students: My hopes and dreams for my students are that they have a lot of fun throughout the year, feel a sense of belonging at school, and develop inferencing, analyzing, and deep comprehension skills. I want them to develop an understanding of the world around them through the themes of the stories we will be reading. I dream that they graduate 5th grade feeling confident in themselves, connected to school, and hopeful for the future.

Colleagues: I hope that my colleagues put in time to build kind, meaningful, and professional relationships with each other, understanding that when we are working together we can accomplish so much for all of our kids. I hope that my colleagues make an effort to be inclusive to new staff members and check in on each other.

Self: My dreams and hopes for myself are to deliver an amazing reading program that helps develop students’ literacy skills, inspires, and provokes questions from my students about the world. I am determined to make sure all of my students meet their goals and feel as though they are a part of a team.
