Dear Prescott students, families, and friends,

Shana Tovah! Happy New Year to all who celebrate Rosh Hashanah (Jewish new
year) tonight, Saturday, and Sunday!

Our second week of Remote Learning went smoother than last week’s many tech trouble-shooting. Please treat yourself and family to an ice cream cone this weekend for patience and persistence in finding links, submitting assignments, and opening Google Classrooms. You did it!
After this newsletter, I’m going to resume the monthly newsletters, so the next one will be the first of October.

My goal is to not overwhelm your inboxes as you already get a lot of email! Rather I want to get your timely information to plan your family’s work, play, and learning.
On a personal note, I want to be transparent with the Prescott community that I am working from home.

Currently, school administrators are not allowed to work from home. I cannot leave my nine-year old son, Jameson, at home without an adult, so I have requested and been approved for a work-at-home situation just as many teachers have chosen to do. Please know that I continue to dedicate myself to Prescott’s and your child(ren)’s wellbeing and strong holistic growth. I communicate daily with Asst Principal Amanda Malsch, Clerk Tiara Collum, and NU Fellow Gaby Johansson. Ms. Malsch and I will begin to visit RL classrooms virtually next week so we can get to know your child(ren)’s learning, their interests, what’s working, what’s not working, and ways we can support them, teachers, and staff. I’m very excited to visit classrooms!
