Prescott familes and friends,
Please see the newsletter below. Get outside, wear a mask, and surprise someone with kindness!
Reading is super important to our Prescott students’ learning. To make Prescott’s huge library accessible to students, we have put more than 4,000 books online for students in grades 3-8th. With teacher guidance, students this week have selected books that interest them and are appropriate for their reading level.
On Tuesday, please come to pick up those books. The books have been sealed in plastic bags that have your child’s name on it. Please check with your 3rd-8th grader if they checked out a book and come to pick up your child(ren)’s books:
Tuesday, October 13 from 8am-9am, 11:30-12:30pm, or 3-4pm
Pick-up procedures: Please keep the bags to return the books. We will send information to return books and pick up a new set of books in about five weeks. Thank you for your extra efforts to pick up materials and to collaborate with teachers and staff.
High School Night for 6-8th graders is Thursday, November 12 at 5pm. More information will be forthcoming.
5th graders created Padlets to describe who they are as readers. They reflected on their reading lives, setting and working towards goals, and self-advocating Ms. Abolt said that 5th graders became quick experts at adding audio, video, and images to support their ideas. More about padlets at https://padlet.com/.
Sincerely,
Principle, Erin Roche
