This week, Principal Roche and Prescott Parents representatives met with the team from the Lincoln Park Home Depot to initiate several projects that will help improve our second art room, the playground, and the school’s overall security. The Home Depot Foundation funds local projects to improve the lives of veterans and other community organizations and institutions like Prescott. The projects are organized and executed by staff from our local Home Depot store.
Upcoming initiatives will include:
• A permanent wall for Ms. Bullard’s art classroom to create a better classroom space and improve noise reduction.
• New storage space and organizational shelving system for art room supplies.
• Double-keyed deadbolt locks for every classroom door in the building to improve security.
• Temporary fencing solution for use on the playground during large school events.
We are very excited about this new partnership, and we will keep you updated on the progress of these initiatives over the coming weeks and months.
