Please see the school update from principal Roche…

Dear Prescott families and friends,

In support of our Black students, staff, and families, I’ve updated the school marquee to frontline with, “Black Lives Matter.”  As thousands of walkers, joggers, and drivers pass Prescott at the Ashland and Wrightwood intersection daily, they will know that we as a community want to eliminate in our schools and society anti-Black racism, specifically.  Our Black families matter. Our Black students matter. Our Black educators matter.  Black lives matter.

Please talk with your family and friends about what Black Lives Matter means.

  • Name anti-Black racism for what it is.
  • Believe Black students.
  • Stop challenging “Black Lives Matter.”
  • Identify and speak about Black excellence.

Congratulations to our 8th graders who received their diplomas earlier this week in a safe, quick drive-by ceremony!
